Pros and Cons

Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 514

Strengths

It's one of the highest spec Chromebook Plus models I've shown on the channel.
It feels like the lid is aluminum with plastic for the rest of the chassis, but certainly feeling very rigid, very premium in the hand.
The rounded corners on all edges are really nice to handle.
The keyboard deck is nicely laid out and looking very similar again to that Spin 714.
The touch display is looking great on first impression. It's 14 in. It's coated in Gorilla Glass. And it's a WXGA resolution, so that's 1920 x 1200.
It covers 100% of the sRGB color space, so colors should look really accurate.

Weaknesses

The Chromebook Plus Spin 514 sits below the more premium Chromebook plus Spin 714.
The available specs and prices are not fully disclosed until later in the video.
It's not clear if it feels too heavy for what it is.
There's no mention of a pen option with this model, unlike the Spin 714.
Availability in the UK is looking a little low.
Some configurations have less storage (128 gig universal flash storage).

Asus ZenBook 13 OLED UM325

Strengths

The laptop feels premium and justifies its price tag.
The overall package is still quite premium and lives up to the price tag.
The battery life is good, averaging around 8 hours in average use case.
Battery life can go up to 10-11 hours if used in dark mode.
The laptop comes with a 67 wattage battery and an OLED panel.
The temperatures never crossed the 88 degree Celsius mark.
USB PD and a 65W USB-C charger are included, allowing for easy charging of other devices.

Weaknesses

The laptop cuts corners here and there to keep costs down.
You might not get the best use case out of the OLED panel unless you're a content creator who lives primarily into the photography world.
The Intel variant with an IPS LCD panel is also available, which might be enough for some users.
The price difference between the OLED and IPS panels is minimal (less than 5k).
Some users might find the battery life to be slightly better on the Intel variant.
The laptop's cooling mechanism is basic, with just a single heat sink and fan.
The internal storage might not need to be swapped out often, making it harder for some users to justify the cost.
