Pros and Cons

Acer Predator Helios 700

Strengths

Performance is definitely where it's at here...the Acer Predator Helios 700 comes with the 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900HK chipset stuffed inside, backed by a maximum of 64 gigs of DDR4 RAM and either Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2070 or 2080. This is no choice for alternative options here.
The dual drive storage is super nippy...hit and read speeds of around 3500 megabytes per second and write speeds not far off are definitely one of the best results I've seen in some time
Customizable RGB keyboard with the option to assign a different color to each individual key, so you can turn this thing into a retina-searing light show or give it a moody glow that turns your slack-jawed expression a here's red color as you gunned down endless strangers online.
The sides of the laptop mean you get plenty of space for the keyboard including room for a number pad macro shortcuts and everything else you would need, making it comfortable enough to use for gaming and typing alike.

Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714

Strengths

The full aluminium outer chassis has felt great every time I've picked it up. The rounded corners make it easy to hold, and its reasonable weight (1.45 kg) makes it portable.
Performance is no issue at all with the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, making browsing and gaming a breeze. Battery life is also impressive, with close to 8 hours of mixed use (Acer claims up to 10 hours).
The device has plenty of connectivity options, including a HDMI port version 2.0, two Thunderbolt ports, and a quad HD webcam at the top of the screen.
The garaged active stylus works well and is a definite benefit for convertible use.

Weaknesses

The Intel Core Ultra 5 processor may not be powerful enough to handle demanding tasks like gaming, as seen with Call of Duty mobile season 10 crashing issues.
The fan and heat are still relatively minimal, but this may not be sufficient when pushing the device's capabilities.
The SSD in the device was slower than expected for transferring larger files, and it would have been ideal to have a USBC port on the right-hand side or another Thunderbolt Port for easier charging and data transfer.
There were occasional issues with the stylus tools prompt popping up when not in use, which seemed to be related to the device's firmware.
