Pros and Cons

Alienware 16X Aurora

Strengths

The laptop looks really good, it's definitely not quite up there with the Area 51 build quality but it is obviously about half the price
Good range of features
Performance was good, we got 150 watts on the GPU and the CPU performed very well
Battery life was strong, leading to snappy performance when you are on battery that feels very much like you're on mains
The laptop is capable of 100 Ws of power delivery, meaning you could charge the laptop with a USBC charger, a dock, or a power delivery monitor

Weaknesses

The biggest gripes were the plastic deck, the touchpad and that keyboard. This didn't feel like an Alienware, it felt like a G series.
£15,000 is a lot of money and I would have liked to seen a proper Alienware keyboard on here. This one just felt cheap
The laptop maxes out at only a 5070 and an 8 GB card in 2025 is a bit of a shame, every laptop really, if possible, should go to that 5070 Ti for that 12 GB of RAM
Only the right USBC allows for power delivery
The GPU performance sucked when using power delivery, I'm not sure what is going on with the engineers over at Dell

Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI

Strengths

Ridiculously fast performance, perfect for creative tasks and video editing
The CPU and GPU combination is beastly, making it ideal for demanding applications
The laptop's performance is excellent, even with 4K video editing, which it handles in seconds
It's a blissful experience to use this laptop, with its exceptional performance and handling
Perfect for gaming enthusiasts who want a powerful machine without breaking the bank

Alienware 16X Aurora

The Alienware 16X Aurora is an ambitious laptop that promises high-performance gaming on the go. With its sleek design and robust features, it's clear Dell has made a concerted effort to appeal to gamers. However, with a price tag of £15,000, expectations are high - particularly when it comes to build quality, keyboard feel, and graphics capabilities. But does this luxury laptop live up to its lofty claims? In this review, we'll put the Aurora through its paces to find out.

Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI is a formidable gaming laptop that prioritizes raw power over practicality. With its potent combination of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card and Intel Core i9 processor, this machine delivers blistering performance in creative tasks and demanding games. However, its short battery life, fingerprint-prone design, and mediocre speakers may deter those seeking a more balanced experience.
