Pros and Cons

Dell G15

Strengths

This laptop is performing where it should be, especially in gaming. It can handle games at QHD with no problem.
The battery life kind of sucks, but it does everything else pretty well if you have a lower expectation.
It has good performance for an RTX 4060, and there's enough ports to use them.
The fan noise is interesting because if you have it on turbo mode it's obviously going to get loud, but you can switch to balanced or quiet profile to be quieter.
It does well in terms of heat, sitting around 91 to 92 degrees Celsius, which is a little bit harder than I'd like it to be.

Weaknesses

The battery life is probably its weakest point, only getting three hours and five minutes before needing to charge.
The G key automatically takes you in and out of turbo mode without any indication that pops up when you're in turbo mode.
There's no Thunderbolt 4 Port, which might be a drawback for some users.
The battery life is very short compared to other laptops, especially considering its price point.
Even though it has good performance, the Dell G5 is not a bad laptop but based on its price point I'd still try to find a laptop that's on sale from last year.

Dell Latitude 15 5530

Strengths

Dell's emphasis on using recycled and renewable materials for its devices is commendable, making it an eco-friendly option.
The laptop uses bioplastics as well as recycled plastics and reused carbon fiber, leading to a reduced carbon footprint.
The typing experience is excellent with long key travel and clicky feedback, making it ideal for office work.
The IO coverage is supercharged with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, LAN port, HDMI 2.0 port, audio jack, and micro SD card reader.
The battery life is promising, lasting up to 11 hours and 7 minutes of web browsing or 8 hours and 33 minutes of video playback.

Weaknesses

The keyboard does not have an optional backlight, which might be a drawback for some users.
There's no spill resistance on the keyboard, unlike some other competitors in the Lenovo range.
The touchpad is weirdly surfaced, hindering smoothness when gliding on it.
The display selection includes a 768p panel, which is not ideal, and only the Full HD IPS panel and 4K UHD IPS panel are recommended.
While the laptop has good cooling setup, the CPU isn't made for continuous heavy work, with temperatures and power consumption staying relatively low during stress tests.
