Pros and Cons

Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7640

Strengths

It's a very nice laptop, I think you could actually probably upgrade stuff it does have the screws on the back you can pull this thing apart and uh possibly upgrade stuff
It has a cooling fans on the bottom very very nice laptop
The keys are backlit and they're a little bright let's go ahead and turn my light off I don't know if you guys can see see that there but they are back lit so super cool there
It does have some vents here on the side on the back uh that looked really really nice I like the color it does look gray but I'm going to tell you it's it's like a light blue
The Dell logo looks very nice and it has a light blue-ish gray color
It would make a great birthday gift, present for Mother's Day, um a present for your wife your kids a graduation present going to college this would be perfect
It was strong enough and powerful enough for me to run DJ Sado super happy with it

Weaknesses

The display is not 4K but hey it's perfect enough for what I'm doing
There are two different kinds of charging ports, which can be confusing
I wish the backlit keys were a bit brighter, but they're just right for a darker room
It was pricey when I ordered it ($1,100), and even now it's still quite expensive ($1,500)
The laptop has some vents on the side and back that might get in the way of your lap or desk
It doesn't have any standout features compared to other laptops in its class
I wish I had done a full review before using it for my gigs this year

Dell XPS 17 9700

Strengths

The display is excellent, with a high-quality screen that's perfect for content creation and media consumption.
The speakers are quite good, with nice sound in the bass response and well-tuned frequency response.
The laptop has a big battery (97 Wh) that provides around 7 hours of light use, making it suitable for an 8-hour workday.
The larger form factor means you get better cooling, performance, and speakers compared to the smaller XPS 15.

Weaknesses

The cooling system can't sustain high-performance levels due to limited power from the 130W charger.
The keyboard has short key travel, making it not enjoyable for tasks like programming or typing for extended periods.
The right USB-C port position interferes with some mouse setups that use an adapter with a long cable.
The price of the 4K touch display is an additional $400 compared to the standard display.
