Pros and Cons

Dell Pro 14 Plus

Strengths

Solid build
Nice new minimalist design theme
Modernized IO ports
Performance is very competitive
Modernized thermos have also improved significantly
Games like Counter Strike 2 comfortably run north of 60 frames per second
Thermals were the key problem with Dell laptops in the past however ever Dell really has turned a new Leaf over here
Self-upgradability is very limited, but you can technically upgrade the m.2 drive

Weaknesses

Cheap skate moments where Dell has some questions to answer
QA issue on my device slightly wobbling at a certain degree of tilt with the actual hinges
Display is unacceptable with full HD display and 60 HZ refresh rate at 300 nits peak brightness
Plastic surface trackpad is cheap skate moment
Limited upgradability, only m.2 drive can be upgraded
Fan noise not so much, hits mid 60 DB when anything moderately intensive
Speaker quality is not top of their mind and experience is pretty flat
Current MSRP pricing is expensive and justifies a $25% cheaper price tag

Asus ROG Strix SCAR 17 G733

Strengths

The laptop comes with a powerful Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and an RTX 3080 GPU, making it ideal for high-end gaming and esports.
The hertz monitor provides smooth visuals in games like Overwatch, although the improvement is not drastic compared to cheaper options.
The optical mechanical keyboard offers a genuine improvement over cheaper laptops with its soft touch paint on the palm rest and 1.9mm total travel distance.
The design features transparent elements that give it a cyberpunky feel, making it a premium device for gamers.
The ROG Keystone feature provides an extra layer of security by allowing you to set certain features on or off depending on whether the RFID keystone is inserted.
The laptop offers great value for its price, coming in under other RTX 3080 laptops like the Alienware M17 R4.

Weaknesses

The hertz monitor's higher frame rate doesn't always translate to a significant improvement over cheaper options, requiring users to fiddle with settings.
The transparent design elements may feel gimmicky or out of place in what's otherwise a premium device.
The ROG Keystone feature is unusual and may not appeal to everyone, although it does provide an extra layer of security.
The laptop's price tag of $3000 may be steep for some users, especially considering the Alienware M17 R4 costs $3600 with comparable components.
The benchmark scores are impressive, but the laptop's performance in certain games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey may not be as high as expected.
Some design elements, such as the transparent end plates and ROG logo animation, may feel flashy or attention-seeking rather than premium.
