Pros and Cons

Dell XPS 15 9520

Strengths

The battery life is a heck of a lot better than the 9210 from last year, even beating the zephrus.
The performance improvement over last generation is better in every way.
The 127h is actually leading the pack in a lot of cases and can beat the blade 15's 12h in most cases.
It has a great build quality, display, keyboard, and trackpad making for an amazing experience.
It won't have any problems getting perfectly playable frame rates in most games if you turn down the detail settings just a bit.

Weaknesses

The screen is limited to 60Hz which will be a really bad experience for gaming.
The webcam quality could be improved, defeating the purpose of having a productivity-focused audience.
It's not suitable for gaming due to slow results and 60Hz screen.
The GPU power sharing on all the L base laptops is done differently affecting performance in some situations.
There are little things like a bad built-in deck and webcam that need improvement next year.

Asus ROG Strix G18

Strengths

The SCAR 18 hits the mark in terms of design, with a sleek back panel featuring the ROG logo, an 18in display with thin bezels, and plenty of RGB lighting.
The laptop's cooling system uses trian technology with liquid metal cooling for the CPU and GPU, which keeps temperatures within acceptable ranges during intense gaming sessions.
The SCAR 18 delivers smooth and high frame rates in demanding games like Black Ops 6, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Fortnite, even at high settings.
With its powerful CPU and GPU, the SCAR 18 is capable of handling complex tasks and multitasking with ease.

Weaknesses

The laptop's display, while vibrant and smooth, is not an OLED panel like some other models in its price range, which might have been expected at this price point.
The laptop can get quite loud during intense gaming sessions, especially when running the CPU and GPU stress tests.
The high temperatures reached by the CPU (up to 91°) and GPU (up to 78°) may be a concern for some users, although within acceptable ranges for laptops.
Fortnite crashed with DirectX11, requiring a switch to DirectX12 to run smoothly, which might be a hassle for some gamers.
