Pros and Cons

GIGABYTE A7

Strengths

The Gigabyte A7x1 packs an NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU combined with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU, making it one of the best gaming notebooks on the market.
The device has some incredible power and some of the best cooling I've seen in a Windows notebook.
The display is a 17.3-inch HD 144Hz panel, great for gaming, with a good selection of ports.
The notebook's bulkiness allows for better airflow and cooling system performance.
The removable battery is convenient and easy to replace without tools needed.
The Wind Force cooling system keeps the device cool during intense gaming sessions.
The upgradable slots make this a long-term investment, allowing users to upgrade their storage and RAM as needed.

Weaknesses

The notebook's design is basic, with a plain black plastic shell.
The battery life is relatively short, lasting around 4 hours with brightness on 40%.
Charging the battery takes longer than built-in batteries.
The display has poor viewing angles and low brightness (measured at 320 nits).
It's an RGB panel, which may not be ideal for photo editing or video production (has only 90 sRGB coverage).
The speakers can get loud during gaming sessions and might be distracting.
The notebook gets quite warm during heavy use, reaching temperatures of up to 99°C (212°F) internally.

Dell G15

Strengths

This laptop is performing where it should be, especially in gaming. It can handle games at QHD with no problem.
The battery life kind of sucks, but it does everything else pretty well if you have a lower expectation.
It has good performance for an RTX 4060, and there's enough ports to use them.
The fan noise is interesting because if you have it on turbo mode it's obviously going to get loud, but you can switch to balanced or quiet profile to be quieter.
It does well in terms of heat, sitting around 91 to 92 degrees Celsius, which is a little bit harder than I'd like it to be.

Weaknesses

The battery life is probably its weakest point, only getting three hours and five minutes before needing to charge.
The G key automatically takes you in and out of turbo mode without any indication that pops up when you're in turbo mode.
There's no Thunderbolt 4 Port, which might be a drawback for some users.
The battery life is very short compared to other laptops, especially considering its price point.
Even though it has good performance, the Dell G5 is not a bad laptop but based on its price point I'd still try to find a laptop that's on sale from last year.

Dell G15

The Dell G5 is an intriguing laptop that promises good performance without breaking the bank. Equipped with an RTX 4060 GPU, it's capable of playing games at 1920x1080 resolution and handling demanding titles like Starfield. However, its battery life falls short, lasting only around three hours. The laptop's price point is also a consideration, as last year's models with more powerful GPUs may be available for similar prices or even cheaper.
