The Honor X8 5G is a fairly basic device that fails to impress in several areas. At a price point of over 200 Euros, the phone's specs are low-end and disappointing. The display is a 6.5-inch 720x1600 LCD screen with a pixel density of 270, which is not impressive for its price tag. The camera setup is also underwhelming, with a single 48MP main sensor and two 2MP macro and depth sensors that are essentially useless. The build quality is decent, with a glass back that resembles older Samsung models. However, the plastic frame compromises on rigidity. The phone's fingerprint sensor doubles as a power button and volume rocker, which is convenient but not impressive. The top of the device features a microphone for loudspeaker calls, while the bottom has a headphone jack, charging port, and speaker grille. Internally, the Honor X8 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 480 processor, which is not suitable for its price range. While it does offer 5G connectivity, this feature feels like a gimmick at this price point. The phone's storage options are limited to 128GB with 6GB of RAM, but expansion via microSD card is possible. The battery life is decent, lasting long enough due to the power-saving processor and low-end display. However, the latter also contributes to lower battery life when used extensively. Overall, the Honor X8 5G feels like a bare-bones device that fails to impress in several key areas. For a phone at this price point, I would recommend spending more on a better device with no 5G capabilities but better specs. The benefits of 5G connectivity do not outweigh the drawbacks of a slow processor and poor display. If you prioritize 5G, it's better to spend more money on a device that offers faster speeds and better performance.

The phone's battery is 10,600mAh, which provides long battery life of around 2-3 days with constant use. Other notable specifications include an IPS LCD display, Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset, 12GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. The phone also features IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance, making it suitable for outdoor activities and harsh environments. After using the Ulefone Armor 27 Pro for two weeks, I can confidently say that it's one of my favorite rugged smartphones from Ulefone. Its slim design, impressive camera features, and long battery life make it an excellent choice for those who need a reliable phone for outdoor adventures or everyday use.
