Pros and Cons

Honor X8 5g

Strengths

The phone has a glass back that looks nice and gives an old Samsung vibe, like the Samsung A4 or A5.
The battery life is decent with a 5000 milliamp battery.
The internal storage of 128GB is good enough, along with 6GB of RAM.
You can expand the storage further past 128GB, which is a massive benefit.
The phone has 5G connectivity, although it might not be fully developed in all areas.

Weaknesses

The display is underwhelming with a resolution of 720x1600 and no high refresh rate.
The processor is not powerful, but this also helps the battery life last longer.
The display is crap, which contributes to better battery life.
The phone's specs are low-end, making it feel like a Bare Bones device.
Not worth buying at this price point (over 200 Euros) just for the 5G connectivity.

Ulefone Armor 27

Strengths

The Ulefone Armor 27 Pro has a slim and rugged design that feels amazing in the hand, making it convenient to carry around.
The phone features an impressive IP68 and IP69K rating for dust and water resistance, giving you confidence when using it in harsh environments.
The triple camera setup at the rear is incredibly versatile, with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 64MP night vision camera that can see through pitch-black darkness.
The phone's toolbox pre-installed app offers a range of handy tools, such as a protractor, height meter, compass, and more, making it a great companion for outdoor enthusiasts.
The Ulefone Armor 27 Pro has long battery life, with up to 2.5 days of constant usage on a single charge, making it perfect for extended adventures without worrying about running out of power.

Weaknesses

Unfortunately, the phone's manual and other paperwork are so small that you may find yourself needing to watch a video review like this one just to understand its features and specifications.
While the custom button on the side is convenient for quick actions, it can be somewhat finicky in terms of sensitivity, requiring some calibration to get right.

Honor X8 5g

The Honor X8 5G is a fairly basic device that fails to impress in several areas. At a price point of over 200 Euros, the phone's specs are low-end and disappointing. The display is a 6.5-inch 720x1600 LCD screen with a pixel density of 270, which is not impressive for its price tag. The camera setup is also underwhelming, with a single 48MP main sensor and two 2MP macro and depth sensors that are essentially useless. The build quality is decent, with a glass back that resembles older Samsung models. However, the plastic frame compromises on rigidity. The phone's fingerprint sensor doubles as a power button and volume rocker, which is convenient but not impressive. The top of the device features a microphone for loudspeaker calls, while the bottom has a headphone jack, charging port, and speaker grille. Internally, the Honor X8 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 480 processor, which is not suitable for its price range. While it does offer 5G connectivity, this feature feels like a gimmick at this price point. The phone's storage options are limited to 128GB with 6GB of RAM, but expansion via microSD card is possible. The battery life is decent, lasting long enough due to the power-saving processor and low-end display. However, the latter also contributes to lower battery life when used extensively. Overall, the Honor X8 5G feels like a bare-bones device that fails to impress in several key areas. For a phone at this price point, I would recommend spending more on a better device with no 5G capabilities but better specs. The benefits of 5G connectivity do not outweigh the drawbacks of a slow processor and poor display. If you prioritize 5G, it's better to spend more money on a device that offers faster speeds and better performance.

Ulefone Armor 27

The Ulefone Armor 27 Pro is a rugged smartphone that boasts impressive features and specifications. The phone's build quality is exceptional, with a slim design that feels great in the hand. It measures 86.8 x 18.5 mm and weighs 441g, making it compact and lightweight. The phone has a triple camera setup at the rear, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel night vision camera. The camera features include a night vision mode, video mode, photo mode, film mode, and more. Additionally, the phone comes with a built-in remote control app that allows users to control IR devices, such as TVs. The Ulefone Armor 27 Pro also features a toolbox pre-installed app that includes various measurement tools, such as a protractor, height meter, compass, and plumb tool. The phone's battery is 10,600mAh, which provides long battery life of around 2-3 days with constant use. Other notable specifications include an IPS LCD display, Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset, 12GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. The phone also features IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance, making it suitable for outdoor activities and harsh environments. After using the Ulefone Armor 27 Pro for two weeks, I can confidently say that it's one of my favorite rugged smartphones from Ulefone.
