Pros and Cons

HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook

Strengths

the dragonfly is comfortable to work on and is easy to travel with
it has an excellent display with a 3x2 aspect ratio that provides more vertical View doing space than your average standard 16x9 screen
the keyboard and trackpad are also unsurprisingly excellent, the keys are firm but not too firm and have plenty of travel for a relatively thin laptop
the touchpad provides a very good experience overall, it's a haptic touchpad with customized vibrations for some specific actions
Cutting Edge specs with a 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor built-in LTE 256 gigs of storage and 8 gigabytes of RAM that's plenty for basically anything you want to do in Chrome OS

Weaknesses

the cheapest model costs an eye-popping eleven hundred and fifty dollars, which is crazy money for a Chromebook
battery life is solid if not spectacular, I got between 6 and 8 hours of normal usage
for the cost of the dragonfly you could also pick up an extremely capable Windows laptop or MacBook Air
the price starts at over $1000, making it hard to recommend due to its high cost compared to other Chromebooks on the market
the screen has an unremarkable 60hz refresh rate, but that shouldn't be a major issue for most people

Dell Latitude 16 7640

Strengths

The Dell Latitude 16 7640 has a beautiful full HD screen.
The Intel Core i5 13th gen processor provides good performance.
Upgrading or repairing the laptop is relatively easy, with many parts accessible without specialized tools.
The battery can be easily replaced if needed.
Speakers can be replaced if sound quality is bad.
Upgrading the SSD card is straightforward.

Weaknesses

The Wi-Fi card is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded or replaced, only the whole motherboard can be swapped out.
Memory is soldered, so upgrading RAM is not possible.
Replacing the whole motherboard may be necessary if the Wi-Fi doesn't work.
Cooling issues can be caused by a faulty fan or heat sink, which can be tricky to resolve.
The touchpad and keyboard are connected to the motherboard and can only be replaced as a whole unit.
The power button is also a potential point of failure that may need to be replaced.
