Pros and Cons

HP ENVY 15

Strengths

The HP Envy X360 is a fairly affordable laptop, under $1000, with good specs.
It's a two-in-one device that offers flexibility and ease of use.
The magnesium alloy construction makes it light and easy to carry around (4.16 pounds).
Performance is very interesting, the Ryzen 7 5825u CPU beats out the i7 1260p in synthetic benchmarks.

Weaknesses

The display has poor color accuracy and a bad color gamut for a laptop at this price point.
The keyboard design has a gap in the center that collects dust, which can be annoying.
The speakers are on the top and while they're okay, they're not as good as some other laptops like MacBook Pro.
The battery life is only 12 hours of use before needing to charge (while still being decent)

HP Spectre x360 16

Strengths

The 16in OLED display is beautiful with a resolution of 2.8k.
The laptop has a dedicated GPU, which allows for good gaming performance.
The fan noise was always pretty low even under full load.
The RTX 450 is running as it should, making it suitable for casual gaming.
The swappable Wi-Fi 7 card and two fan solution are nice upgrades.
The laptop has a sleek and sturdy design with only four screws to remove.

Weaknesses

The battery life was not nearly as good as the 14in model, getting only 5 hours and 33 minutes before needing to charge.
The performance of the laptop was subpar, with multi-core speeds being lower than expected.
Single core clock speeds were identical to the competition, but multi-core speeds were way too low.
The CPU power output was also lower than expected, topping out at around 28-29 Watts.
The average core clock speeds were higher on the 14in model, which is puzzling.
The laptop's performance profile did not make a difference in pushing the laptop to its full potential.
