Pros and Cons

HP OmniBook X Flip

Strengths

The Kraken Point is nice, I like it.
Latticeless keyboards have been excellent for typing out documents, emails, and the like.
They are back lit, so if you want to get it worked on an airplane or or in a dimly lit environment, you definitely can do that.
The pens work very well.
Excellent choices, especially as we're going back to school.

Weaknesses

No specific cons listed for this device

Dell Latitude 15 7530

Strengths

The Dell Latitude 15 7350 has a carbon fiber chassis that is very rigid and sturdy, showing little to no flex.
The laptop's lid opens easily with one hand and houses a webcam, IR face recognition sensor, proximity sensor, and privacy shutter.
The keyboard and touchpad are a great combo with long key travel and clicky feedback for the board.
The laptop has a well-selected input/output configuration with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB type-A 3.2 generation 1 ports, an audio jack, optional smart card reader, HDMI 2.0 port, and a SIM card tray.
The full HD IPS panel provides good viewing angles and no PWM usage.
The laptop's battery unit lasts for 10 hours and 36 minutes of web browsing or 7 hours and 13 minutes of video playback with the larger 58 Wh battery.

Weaknesses

The metal variant of the laptop weighs significantly more than the carbon fiber model, increasing by around 200 grams.
The igpu does not perform well in keeping the temps in check, running very hot and maxing out at 97°C during stress tests.
The base gets quite warm with a hot spot on the function keys that reaches 47.5°C during stress testing.
The fan is quiet but can't handle high power limits, leading to CPU throttling.
The display's mid-max brightness might be too low for bright rooms or outdoor use.
The color reproduction is not good, covering only about half of the sRGB gamut.

HP OmniBook X Flip

The HP Omnibook X Flip series has made a strong comeback for 2025, offering an excellent blend of performance and versatility in its convertible laptops. The Kraken Point and Lunar Lake models boast impressive displays, with the latter's 2K resolution standing out. Latticeless keyboards and responsive pens add to the user experience, while audio quality is surprisingly good considering the price point. With prices starting at $749 for a non-OLED model, these laptops are definitely worth considering for those on a budget.

Dell Latitude 15 7530

The Dell Latitude 15 7350 is a laptop that embodies premium qualities in design, input/output, and performance. Its carbon fiber chassis exudes a sense of luxury, while its robust features like the glass-covered touchpad and NFC coil hint at advanced functionality. However, despite its solid build, the device falls short in terms of display brightness and color coverage. A Core i5 processor powers the laptop, but it struggles with heat management, which might be a concern for heavy users.
