Pros and Cons

HP Pavilion 15

Strengths

The new HD Pavilion 15 definitely has a fair bit to offer so you get decent build quality with a nice mix of premium and standard materials.
A great trackpad and keyboard to go along with it and I enjoy the performance you get on this machine given again the configuration.
The laptop has surprisingly good performance on day-to-day tasks like web browsing or watching videos on youtube are going to work in a super fast and snappy fashion as they should.
Even really demanding tasks like 4k video editing actually works in a very smooth and lag free way which surprises me because this laptop only has 8 gigabytes of ram in this particular configuration.
The laptop handles thermals well, with an average surface temperature just above 43 degrees Celsius under unrealistic peak loads.
The Bang & Olufsen stereo speaker setup definitely lives up to its name so you have a decent amount of volume but also nice crisp clear audio that seems to stay even at higher volume levels.

No specific cons listed for this device

HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook

Strengths

The HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook has a bunch of cool Tech and gadgets but also uses all of them to make your experience memorable every time you pick it up to use it.
It's an easy recommend with its hardware editions adding to the overall experience and not just bolted on for no good reason.
HP is offering users a 24/7 dedicated helpline, a diagnostic tool, and accidental damage protection all rolled into one, called the HP Support Assistant, which gives you access to help via phone or chat whenever you need it.
The 999 dollar asking price feels right given the Chromebook's features and no odd configurations or options.

Weaknesses

There is a lack of convertible form factor
Missing USI pen support for a certain set of users
Users might not know exactly what they're getting with its limited color choice (ceramic white and sparkling black)
Some users might find the price to be a bit steep, although it's justified given the features
