Pros and Cons

HP Victus 15

Strengths

The HP Victus 15 has exceptionally well done thermals, with average surface temperatures as low as 41°C under peak loads.
Performance for example is great whether you're playing AAA titles that are both New or Old or modern-day mainstream games they all run at relatively healthy settings in terms of Graphics while maintaining High frame rates
The laptop has a decent selection of IO ports, including USB-A, USB-C, and an HDMI port.
The battery life is not bad, with around 6 hours and 20 minutes of runtime on a single charge.
The speakers are decent, with good volume and minimal distortion.
The HP Victus 15 has a great build quality, with a sturdy body and well-constructed components.
The laptop's performance justifies the point of getting a lower-end GPU like the RTX 4050, making it a great option for gamers on a budget.

Weaknesses

The color quality of the display is poor, with limited color accuracy and gamut.
The brightness of the display is also low, making it difficult to use in bright environments.
The hinge mechanism is flimsy and needs improvement, causing the laptop's screen to wobble when opened or closed.
The keyboard and trackpad are decent but not exceptional, lacking some features like customizable backlighting or gesture support.
The thermal management system can throttle under heavy loads, affecting performance and increasing temperatures.
The battery life is not great, with around 1-1.5 hours of runtime when gaming on a single charge.
The speakers are not anything to write home about, lacking some features like bass or treble controls.

HP Pavilion 15

Strengths

The new HD Pavilion 15 definitely has a fair bit to offer so you get decent build quality with a nice mix of premium and standard materials.
A great trackpad and keyboard to go along with it and I enjoy the performance you get on this machine given again the configuration.
The laptop has surprisingly good performance on day-to-day tasks like web browsing or watching videos on youtube are going to work in a super fast and snappy fashion as they should.
Even really demanding tasks like 4k video editing actually works in a very smooth and lag free way which surprises me because this laptop only has 8 gigabytes of ram in this particular configuration.
The laptop handles thermals well, with an average surface temperature just above 43 degrees Celsius under unrealistic peak loads.
The Bang & Olufsen stereo speaker setup definitely lives up to its name so you have a decent amount of volume but also nice crisp clear audio that seems to stay even at higher volume levels.
