Pros and Cons

HP Victus 16

Strengths

It's a great price, a fantastic price I got the most powerful configuration that you can possibly buy with this machine and it only cost fourteen hundred dollars.
The design is simplistic yet somehow bold at the same time and it looks really cool and sleek yet somehow also professional looking as well.
Keyboard typing felt fantastic, the keys were super comfortable and the quality of the key presses and how quiet it was rivaled a lot of the other more expensive gaming laptops.
It's one of the best if not the best budget friendly bang for your buck laptops that you can possibly get right now.

Weaknesses

The screen wobble is the most I've ever seen on a gaming laptop, so it is worth noting in your purchase decision if you do a lot of hard typing on your lap or another unstable surface.
Unfortunately, the display's overall brightness was a little dim compared to most, and if you're gonna be in environments with a lot of ambient light it could affect your overall experience.
The lack of lighting effects (no RGB customizations and no animations) is not a big deal but a lot of gaming laptops have this and it looks really cool especially when they're animated.
The webcam's quality was only average, and there were no Windows Hello capabilities or fingerprint options on the keyboard.

HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8

Strengths

Upgradeability is something that's important to a lot of IT shops and end users who buy these things as well.
The laptop has a nice durable magnesium alloy design.
Optional 4G/5G connectivity is available, making it suitable for mobile workers.
Battery life is pretty good, lasting around 9-10 hours on a charge doing lightweight business kind of work.
The EliteBook 840 Aero G8 features an excellent elite keyboard with crisp and responsive typing experience.

Weaknesses

The display options are limited to 16:9 aspect ratio, which may not be ideal for some users.
There's only one brightness option available, with the non-touch display being the most desirable at 400 nits.
The color tuning of the display is a bit odd, with a gamma value of 1.6 that might need calibration.
The touch screen option has a lower brightness level (250 nits), which may not be suitable for some users.
There's no microSD card slot available, which might be a drawback for users who rely on expandable storage.
