Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1

Strengths

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5X feels sleek and lightweight, making it ultra portable at just under £3.
The OLED touchscreen display is incredibly vibrant, with pitch dark blacks and plenty of brightness for indoor and outdoor use.
The Snapdragon X+ processor is fast, efficient, and AI-enhanced, making it ideal for streaming, video conferencing, and using AI tools.
The laptop has up to 20 hours of real-world battery life, nearly double what most Intel or AMD machines offer in this class.
The dual speakers are Dolby enhanced and decent for media and Zoom calls.
The 1080p full HD webcam is crisp and supported by AI features like automatic framing and background blur.
The laptop has a solid selection of ports, including USBC, USBA, a headphone jack, and a micro SD card reader.
Windows Hello face unlock and fingerprint reader make logging in fast and secure.

Weaknesses

Some older apps may not be optimized yet due to the ARM-based system.
The battery life may vary depending on usage and settings.
The speakers are not exactly booming with bass, but they get the job done.
The laptop's design is not particularly unique or attention-grabbing.
The price point for this laptop may be a bit higher than some users are comfortable with.

Strengths

The ThinkPad still has a better keyboard, no surprise.
It's extremely light and powerful, one of my favorite mobile workstations.
Battery life is decent, especially with the IPS Full HD options (5-6 hours).
Ventilation is good and speaker grills are present.

Weaknesses

The Core i7 v Pro configuration with OLED display might not have super duper battery life.
CPU core temperatures can go up into the 90s when pushing hard, making it toasty.
There's no surprise that ThinkPad has better keyboards, but XPS 15 is still a great option for those who want metal cladding and good aesthetics.
The bottom cover requires some effort to remove (Phillips head screws), which might be frustrating for some users.
