Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5

Strengths

The machine's specs, including a 3050 GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and 500GB NVMe storage, make it well worth every penny of its under-$1000 price point.
The aluminum frame gives the laptop a solid build quality and premium feel.
The 2560x1600 IPS screen is a highlight of the machine, making it an excellent value for the price.
The AMD's built-in graphics work well for everyday tasks.
The laptop can handle demanding tasks like rendering 4K videos and doing blender work with ease.
At under $1000, the IdeaPad Pro 5 offers incredible value for its specs and features.

Weaknesses

The machine has a fatal flaw in its hibernation mode, which causes it to freeze or shut down unexpectedly.
Lenovo's support is also terrible, with a broken ticket submission system that prevents users from reporting issues.
The trackpad is another issue, being a minor annoyance that could be fixed with software updates.
The machine's fans can get quite loud when running demanding tasks, making it noticeable to the user.
The laptop's overall performance and battery life are not as good as other gaming laptops in its class.

HP OMEN 17

Strengths

The level of gaming performance is actually pretty good, I did not experience any stutters very smooth level of performance.
The design is modern and I personally love it, however once again this is personal preference and this may be a con for you if you do not like it.
The 240 HZ 1440p display is amazing because honestly most laptops do not come with a 1440p 240 HZ display so this one is very nice.
The colors on the display are great as I said before, overall an amazing display.
It's very portable, it's not super heavy and it's ideal if you want to do gaming while traveling.
The level of performance while gaming and also while doing multitasking if you want to do work or study is amazing overall.
You will be happy with the level of performance while gaming.
It's a pretty good deal for $1,800 or $1600 if you go with the big TW version which is cheaper.

Weaknesses

If you do not mind going for a rebuild PC instead or maybe building it yourself you are going to be getting a better price performance.
For the same price you can get faster gaming performance but of course if you need a laptop because you are going to travel or you are at Uni or whatever the reason might be on why you need a laptop then fair enough.
You may not like the modern design which is personal preference.
The only con that I found is that it's not the best option in terms of price performance if you are open to buying a pre-build PC or building a system yourself.
If you want the best price performance, then getting a pre-built PC or building a system yourself might be a better option for you.
The RAM and storage options could be improved compared to other laptops like the big TW version which has 64 gigs of RAM and 2 TB of storage.
It may not have as many features or customization options compared to other laptops in its class.
If you're looking for a laptop with a higher refresh rate display, then this might not be the best option for you.
