Pros and Cons

Lenovo Legion 5

Strengths

The actual performance in games was still good and where we'd expect it to be relative to other 3060 laptops.
There are some improvements with this year's Legion 5, but ultimately for the tasks that you'd actually be using it for like gaming, the differences just aren't all that big compared to last year's version.
Outside of gaming, the 6800H gets about 10% more performance compared to last year's 5800H.
The competition has also gotten tougher at this price point, but this year's version did have some thermal throttling on the GPU only in a heavy CPU and GPU stress test.
The actual performance in gaming was still good where we'd expect it to be relative to other 3060 laptops.

Weaknesses

This year's version had some thermal throttling on the GPU, but I only noticed that in a heavy CPU and GPU stress test. And that kind of just seems to be a result of the increased GPU power limit this year.
The actual performance gain compared to last year's model was not very big for gaming, especially considering the increase in price.
It might be worth waiting for next-gen models in 2023 if you are after a big performance gain.
Not having the 1440p option at the moment is a drawback
The Ryzen 6000 just hasn't given us a whole lot of performance gain compared to last year's 5000, which might be disappointing for some users.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga

Strengths

The laptop has a very attractive design, with a comfortable feel to hold in the hand.
It has tons of I/O ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports that support power delivery.
The keyboard is excellent, with tactile typing experience and backlighting.
The sound system is good, supporting Dolby Atmos and getting quite loud.

Weaknesses

The design does not have the same refinement as the Yoga 9i, with sharp edges.
The laptop prioritizes fan noise over performance, which can be a drawback for demanding users.
It thermal throttles when temperatures reach 100 degrees Celsius.
The track point (nipple) is no longer needed and takes up touchpad space.

Lenovo Legion 5

The Lenovo Legion 5 is a mid-range gaming laptop that promises to deliver impressive performance without breaking the bank. Powered by AMD's Ryzen 6000 series processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, it's designed to handle demanding games and tasks with ease. But how does it stack up against its predecessors, and what about the competition? In this review, we'll take a closer look at the Legion 5's strengths and weaknesses, and help you decide if it's worth considering for your next gaming laptop purchase.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 7 boasts a sleek design, but falls short in refinement, with sharp edges that detract from its otherwise attractive appearance. The laptop's convertible nature and extensive I/O options are notable highlights. However, the presence of a traditional trackpoint (nipple) may be seen as outdated, given the superior performance of modern touchpads. This review aims to provide an in-depth assessment of this business-focused device, considering both its strengths and weaknesses.
