It features a 16-inch 165Hz screen with good response time, decent color gamut, no backlight bleed, and gets fairly bright.
The Legion 7 has plenty of RGB lighting if that's your thing, with 6 built-in firmware effects that don't need software.
You can disable Optimus to result in a speed boost, which is not an option on other laptops.
The battery life can be improved by pressing the function and R shortcut, changing the screen's refresh rate from 165Hz to 60Hz.

Weaknesses

The Legion 7 has a major issue with battery drain when running the Corsair software, drawing between 40-50 watts from the wall.
Closing the Corsair software and stopping the Corsair service can improve battery life, but this means you don't have the option to customize the lighting.
There is no fan control option on the Legion 7, which may be a concern for users who want more customization options.
The power brick is quite large at 300 watts, making it less portable even if you choose a lower-spec model.
The absence of an SD card slot may be a drawback for creators and users who need that feature.

Lenovo Legion 7

The Lenovo Legion 7 is a strong contender in the gaming laptop market, boasting impressive specs such as a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and full-powered NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics. Its 16-inch 165Hz screen and decent color gamut make it an appealing option for gamers. However, there's one significant issue that stands out - battery drain, which can be mitigated by disabling the Corsair software.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 2024 is a solid gaming laptop with a sturdy build and impressive cooling system. However, its performance enhancement is underwhelming compared to the predecessor. The CPU upgrade to Core i9-14900 HX only yields a 3-4% increase in single-core performance, making it less desirable than the last year's version. Additionally, AMD configurations offer better value with stronger multi-core performance and improved power efficiency, making them a more attractive choice for gaming enthusiasts.
