Pros and Cons

Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 3

Strengths

Good performance from the Intel i7 1260p CPU
Plenty of ports to keep you happy, including two Thunderbolt 4 USB C ports, HDMI 2.0 port, and a rare gigabit Ethernet port
Memory upgradeable on the Intel variant with one single SO-DIMM slot
Good display with an option to pay £20 for a brighter 400 nits and color accurate 100% sRGB panel
Decent security tools to protect your valuable data and privacy, including fingerprint sensor, IR camera, webcam privacy shutter, optional smart card reader, and Kensington Nano security slot
Long battery life of up to five to six hours of general use under performance mode

Weaknesses

Base model has a 45% NTSC display panel which may not be ideal for graphics work
Basic GPU (Nvidia t550) is not really suited for heavy workstation level work compared to the faster RTX A series found in larger mobile workstations like the ThinkPad P16
Fan noise can be an issue when running in performance mode, constantly on and impacting battery life and thermal heat
Battery life is poor considering it's aimed at on-the-go professionals
Display is average, so make sure you upgrade to a nicer 400 nits 100% sRGB panel instead
May not be the best choice if you need Ray tracing support or more powerful GPU for heavy workstation level work

Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 3

Strengths

The battery life has been great, lasting all day on a single charge with minimal use.
The 500-nit screen is super bright and crisp, making it easy to see in well-lit environments.
The touch screen experience is enjoyable and makes navigation a breeze.
The build quality is excellent, with a new material that's resistant to fingerprinting and marking.
The battery life can last up to 17-18 hours on a single charge with moderate use.
It's really enjoying the quality of the machine, with a comfortable and enjoyable typing experience once you get used to it.

Weaknesses

The keyboard layout is not ideal, with flatter keys that don't have rounded edges, which may take some getting used to.
The memory is soldered, so make sure to grab a model with the right amount of RAM for your needs.
WN (Wide Area Network) wasn't available on this model, and even if it was, installing antennas may require cutting open the chassis, so ensure you get a WAN-ready model.
There's no option to upgrade or add more memory in the future, which may be a limitation for heavy users.
The lack of WAN functionality on some models may be a deal-breaker for those who need it.
