Pros and Cons

Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 2

Strengths

Built like a tank to withstand a few knocks
The chassis is solid and well put together
Display lid has a tiny amount of flexing, but provides excellent protection to the panel
Good inputs: keyboard on the p16 is one of the best on the market
Touchpad is good to glide on and there's always the track point if you prefer that instead
Useful upgrades: plenty of memory and storage upgrades available for most users
Thermal cooling is excellent, whatever is thrown at it at maximum load
The keyboard is brilliant backed up by a smooth touchpad and useful trackpoint

Weaknesses

No specific cons listed for this device

Lenovo LOQ 15

Strengths

Lenovo's LOQ 15 is still a great budget friendly gaming laptop compared to what alternatives offer at this price point.
The Nvidia config having both G-Sync and Advanced Optimus
The visual design changes are only small, but are welcome improvements.
The black keyboard is a bit easier to see, the new power button design is brighter
Not having hot air blowing on your mouse hand is always welcome, especially when thermals were otherwise fine.
The extra upgradeability by now supporting two double sided SSDs is nice too.
Lenovo's BIOS has a lot of extra options that many other laptops like ASUS, Razer and Acer simply do not have.

Weaknesses

The battery drain due to the smaller 170 watt charger isn't ideal
The Arc laptop has worse performance in games
Worse battery life while running a game
Less VRAM on the GPU
No advanced optimus so you have to reboot, and Intel's driver support is still playing catch up compared to Nvidia
The Arc version feels a bit pointless since it costs $50 more than the Nvidia version for similar performance
The left side being blank and moving its ports to the right is an odd design choice

Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 2

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 is a behemoth of a mobile workstation that promises unparalleled performance and durability. With Intel HX processors and Nvidia RTX Ada Lovelace GPUs, it delivers blistering speeds that can handle even the most demanding tasks. A vibrant 165Hz display, ergonomic keyboard, and smooth touchpad round out its impressive feature set. However, this behemoth comes with some notable drawbacks, including a gargantuan design, lack of an RJ45 Ethernet port, and limited storage options. Can it live up to its promises despite these caveats?

Lenovo LOQ 15

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a budget-friendly gaming laptop that offers an impressive array of features at an affordable price point. Equipped with Intel's Arc graphics or NVIDIA's RTX 3050 graphics, this laptop provides seamless gaming experiences. With a sleek design and upgradeable storage options, it's an attractive choice for gamers on a budget. However, the Arc configuration seems to fall short in terms of performance and battery life, making the more expensive Nvidia version the better value.
