Pros and Cons

Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 1

Strengths

Plenty of materials and combinations depending on which color you choose
Full-sized spill-resistant backlit keyboard offers an amazing typing experience
Front-firing speaker setup delivers quality audio with no major deviations across the frequency range
Alder Lake P-Series CPUs can still deliver plenty of performance with the 12-core Intel Core i5 1240p
Quadro T550 running at 30 watts is certainly better than the Intel iGPU solution

Weaknesses

Much less powerful Alder Lake P-Series chips compared to the traditional Lenovo ThinkPad p16 generation one
P16s isn't an efficiency champ as the 52.5 Watt hours battery pack lasts for only 7 hours and 15 minutes of web browsing or 6 hours and 9 Minutes of video playback
Performance is closely tied to the cooling, which can lead to more noise and compromised performance
The high price isn't backed up properly with the P16s Gen 1 as there are other business machines out there that deliver more performance for less
Display has only 51 srgb coverage making it not suitable for professional work with colors

LG gram Pro 16

Strengths

The laptop has a lovely OLED screen, which is available in a base model starting at $2,100.
With the 3050 GPU, the laptop performed significantly faster in gaming, video editing and other tasks.
The laptop's battery life was pretty good, lasting 10 hours in video playback test and getting you through a full day with mixed everyday use.
The webcam is quite impressive, offering 1080p resolution, which is not bad even with changing lighting conditions.
The laptop's fans don't get overly noisy, and it's not going to be silent like the fanless MacBook Air.
The LG gram Pro 16 has a very good range of ports, including an option for USB-A, Thunderbolt, HDMI, and more.

Weaknesses

The base model with OLED screen starts at $2,100, which is a lot of money considering the cost of other laptops.
If you want the 3050 GPU, you have to double the RAM and storage to 32GB and 2TB, adding an extra $300.
There are cheaper OLED options available in smaller and heavier designs, making this laptop feel like a premium at its price point.
The MacBook Air lineup has been refreshed with better design, speakers, webcam, touchpad, and keyboard, making it a strong competitor.
While the LG gram Pro 16 is very light, there are compromises on weight and size compared to other laptops with faster GPUs.
The base model OLED version starts at $2,100, which may be too expensive for some users, considering the cost of other laptops.
