Pros and Cons

Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 4

Strengths

The Ryzen chips are absolutely fantastic, providing a much needed boost in single core score
The onboard Graphics is truly excellent for most people's everyday needs, especially in an office environment
USB 4 on these laptops allows you to put a thunderbolt dock or high-speed storage, making it a one-laptop solution for heavy work needs
The laptop runs so quietly even when gaming, with fan noise topping out at about 42 DB
The battery life is excellent, with 11 hours and 21 minutes of streaming YouTube over Wi-Fi at 200 nits of brightness
The Ryzen chips make the laptop feel much snappier
The onboard Graphics handles everyday tasks like light video editing and 3D modeling well
The laptop has a compact charger that comes with it, and you can also charge it with your monitors or docks PD

Weaknesses

Battery life is not quite as good as last year's model, at just over 12 hours
The T14s is slightly more expensive than the T14
The laptop does not have an RJ45 port like the T14
It's a bit heavier and fatter than the T14
You may not need the USB 4 on this model, especially if you're just using it for office work
The fan noise can be slightly higher when running demanding tasks
The laptop's single core performance boost is not as massive as some might have hoped
The T14s may not be the best choice if you don't need USB 4 and are okay with a bit more weight

Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Gen 3

Strengths

Lenovo has fixed all of its flaws with the ThinkPad l13 Generation 3 making the laptop smaller and giving it a 16 by 10 display
The laptop has lost some weight slimming down to 1.25 kilograms, 140 grams less than the Gen 2 product
The keyboard is island with a fingerprint reader above it and a touch pad below it typing on it is comfortable mostly thanks to the clicky feedback
The display is surrounded by relatively thin bezels, has excellent viewing angles, a peak brightness of 338 nits, and a very high contrast ratio of 1910 to 1
The bottom firing speaker setup is surprisingly loud while all frequencies are free of deviations
The battery life is good, lasting for 8 hours and 20 minutes of web browsing or eight hours of video playback

Weaknesses

The keyboard has shorter key travel than usual but the spill resistance and backlight manage to sway us in its favor
The display covers only 56 percent of the sRGB color gamut, which might be a deal breaker for some people who need color accuracy
The ThinkPad l13 Gen 3 makes some sacrifices which might be a deal breaker for some people, however these people aren't the hardcore business audience
The upgradeability is poor with up to 32 gigabytes of solder DDR4 memory and only one small M.2 PCIe slot
The processor (Ryzen 5 Pro 5675u) is not the best performer and is outclassed by the HP Elitebook 640 G9's Core i5 1235u in both Cinebench and Photoshop tests
The laptop has zero PWM usage, but this might be a drawback for some users
