Pros and Cons

Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 Gen 1

Strengths

The laptop comes with an aluminum chassis that is a total 180 degree turn from regular ThinkPads, it has a slim 15.8 millimeters profile and a weight of 1.81 kilograms.
The battery pack lasts for 20 hours of web browsing or 18 hours and 31 minutes of video playback, which was genuinely shocking.
The new rdna 2i GPU on the inside can game pretty well with even AAA games running at stable frame rates at low settings.
The laptop comes with up to 32 gigabytes of soldered LPD dr5 Ram that runs at 6400 megahertz in Quad Channel mode.

Weaknesses

The keyboard has not been updated, and typing is comfortable thanks to the clicky feedback but it doesn't have very long key travel due to the slim chassis.
The touchpad doesn't have a clicking mechanism instead using a haptic motor to mimic a click for both the missing buttons for the Red Dot and the pad itself.
The laptop's design has seen changes, but some things on the outside weren't looking that good either as the base reaches 48 degrees Celsius
The fans do produce a fair amount of noise as they do their best efforts in cooling down the chip

Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1

Strengths

The AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 6850u processor has plenty of power and is suitable for most work tasks, silent and cool most of the time.
Battery life can be up to 12-13 hours with the larger 86 Wh battery option
Good I/O options include two USB-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, and a rare RJ45 5 Ethernet port
The laptop has plenty of ports to keep you going, making it convenient for users who need multiple connections
Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 has security tools to protect your valuable data, including an optional power-on touch fingerprint reader
The laptop is great for touch typing with its keyboard

Weaknesses

Battery life can be as short as 6 hours with the default 52.5 Wh battery, which may not be enough for a day's work
No USB4 ports available, which may limit transfer speeds
The Intel version has a single SODIMM slot to upgrade memory, whereas the AMD version has soldered-on RAM
Expensive price options depending on timing and configuration, making it less competitive in its category
No SD card reader is a notable omission for users who need to transfer files from digital cameras
The 1610 display may not be suitable for intensive creative tasks or complex 3D modeling due to limited specs
