Is it Worth it?

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 is a solid machine with an OLED display, great build quality, and impressive speakers. The STRIX Point Ryzen chip delivers excellent CPU performance, but its battery life lags behind the newer Intel Core Ultra range. While video editing on this laptop is possible, it's not as efficient as on the Intel-based model. Ultimately, if CPU performance is your priority, the Yoga Pro 7 is a great choice. However, if you need better battery life and can handle more powerful video editing, consider the Intel or Edition laptop from the yoga range.

Build

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 boasts an excellent build quality, with a solid and sturdy construction that inspires confidence. The form factor is equally impressive, with a sleek and compact design that's perfect for both work and play. The OLED display is a highlight, offering vibrant colors and crisp visuals. The keyboard is also noteworthy, providing a comfortable typing experience. However, there are some minor drawbacks - the touchpad can be prone to rattling, and the power button's placement on the side may not be ideal. Overall, the Yoga Pro 7's build quality and design make it a compelling choice for those seeking a premium laptop experience. Take a look at Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga Gen 2 - its improved build sets a new standard.

Display

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 boasts an impressive display that is sure to please. The screen's vibrant colors and crisp visuals are a joy to behold, making it perfect for watching movies or browsing through photos. The OLED technology used in the display provides excellent contrast and deep blacks, resulting in an immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the display's touch-sensitive capabilities allow for smooth navigation and multitasking. Overall, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7's display is a major highlight of this laptop, offering exceptional picture quality and responsiveness that will keep you engaged for hours on end. If you're after top-notch display, consider Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5.

Performance

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7's performance is a mixed bag. The AMD Ryzen chip excels in CPU tasks, with its 60W power budget delivering impressive results. However, single-core performance suffers on battery life, making day-to-day tasks feel less snappy. Multicore performance remains strong, but gaming on battery life isn't ideal, lasting only about an hour and a half. In contrast, the laptop's large 73Wh battery performs well in our usual battery test, streaming YouTube for 8 hours and 20 minutes at 200 nits of brightness. Overall, while CPU performance is excellent, other aspects of performance are inconsistent, making it a tough choice against Intel Core Ultra laptops. It’s worth checking out Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 3, delivering remarkable performance.

Battery and Charging

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7's battery life is a mixed bag. Single-core performance is lacking on battery, making day-to-day tasks less snappy. However, multicore performance remains strong across all profiles. Gaming on battery was impressive, but don't expect to game for more than an hour and a half. In our usual battery test, we got 8 hours and 20 minutes of streaming YouTube at moderate brightness. The large 73Wh battery helps with runtime.

Connectivity

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 boasts excellent connectivity features. It comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB-C port that supports Power Delivery, allowing for charging and data transfer simultaneously. Additionally, it features an HDMI output and two USB-A ports, making it easy to connect peripherals and display content on larger screens. Get your hands on Lenovo IdeaPad 3 if you're looking for better connectivity.

Features

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 boasts an impressive feature set. Its STS Point Ryzen chip delivers incredible CPU performance with 60W power budget and 20 threads. The laptop also sports an OLED display, snappy keyboard, and excellent speakers. A large 73Wh battery provides up to 8 hours of streaming time, and the laptop comes with a compact 100W charger and USB-C power delivery for a seamless experience. Vantage software offers streamlined control over settings and performance profiles. Consider discovering the power of Lenovo 14e Chromebook Gen 3, featuring the latest advancements in features.

Support and Maintenance

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7's performance is impressive, with its STS Point Ryzen chip delivering amazing CPU performance within a 60W power budget. However, the laptop's support and maintenance aspects fall short. The Vantage software is lightweight and easy to use, but it comes bundled with McAfee antivirus software, which is unacceptable on a premium device. This oversight detracts from an otherwise excellent machine, making its overall value less compelling.
