Pros and Cons

Microsoft Surface Laptop 5

Strengths

It has an all-aluminum case, which reminds me a little bit of the MacBook.
The laptop itself is very small and lightweight, coming in right under three pounds.
This is really perfect for on-the-go productivity, so say you're an office worker going off to a meeting or maybe you're a student going to work on a class project.
The screen looks fantastic. You can't detect any of the pixels.
The laptop has a touch screen, and I frequently find myself reaching to the screen to move around.
You have two microphones, so you would expect them to be pretty good.
It includes integrated speakers, and at least when I played some videos it sounded like it had some good volume and the quality was decent for speakers in a laptop.
Windows 11 is a pretty decent and solid operating system.

Weaknesses

The processor can probably not take care of playing triple A titles with high frame rates or doing heavy video editing or maybe even fluid simulations.
It uses an Intel Iris Xe graphics card, which handles things like productivity software, web browsing, or watching videos well, but may not be the best for heavy gaming or video editing.
The memory and storage space options may be limited for those who want more.
You can't get a better resolution webcam on this laptop, especially with working from home in mind.
The keyboard felt good to type on, but there's no mention of any specific features it has over other keyboards.
It depends on what type of user you are - office worker or student may find it suitable, but gamers and creators may not.
The price ranges between $900 up to $2,160 depending on how you customize the machine, which might be a bit steep for some users.
There's no mention of any specific features that make this laptop stand out from others in its class.

Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 4

Strengths

This is the newest version and I've had the older ones on the channel as well it just keeps getting better with every iteration
It works really well with the universal USBC dock from Lenovo
I'm going to sell a ton of these I'm sure
The laptop PC has an AMD Ryzen 5 5625U processor, 8GB of DDR4 3200 RAM, and 256GB M2 PCI Express 4.0 storage
It has a 15.6 inch 1080p IPS display, gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 11ax with Bluetooth 5.2, and USB 3.2 gen 1 and USBC ports
The webcam has a privacy shutter and dual microphone array
The keyboard is full-size with 10 key number pad and standard Lenovo function keys
You can upgrade the RAM to up to 40GB if you want

Weaknesses

This one is silver which is a first but still has the black keyboard which I find a bit odd
The memory score is a little disappointing, especially since it's not running in dual Channel mode
The RAM is soldered in and only comes with 8GB, so you can't upgrade to different types or capacities like some other laptops
There's a large Dead Zone inside the laptop where you would think they could add battery or another fan for better performance
The price of this laptop may be higher than expected due to its features and build quality
Some users might find the aluminum top and polycarbonate ABS bottom to be less durable than other laptops in its class
The pop clips on the inside are very difficult to get out without breakage, making maintenance and upgrades a bit tricky
There's only one fan with heat sink and heat pipes that go to the CPU location, which might lead to some performance issues under heavy loads
