Pros and Cons

Motorola Moto G Play (2023)

Strengths

For what it is, I definitely don't think it's a bad phone
The camera for what it is is really good
If you are looking for a really affordable kind of basic phone but you do want to take some nice pictures from time to time then for that this phone definitely will get the job done
It does have a really good battery with a 5,000 milliamp hour battery well it's not really uncommon per se
The camera is one of the best cameras in its price range
It has a decent amount of weight to it and it definitely doesn't feel like it's about to fall apart or anything
The buttons are pretty solid
The materials they do feel pretty nice

Weaknesses

There's really nothing special about it when it comes to things like the display
The performance is also a little disappointing although again for the more basic use it's meant for it's still going to be at least good enough
It's easily interchangeable with countless others
The storage is definitely a huge drawback albeit it's not really uncommon or anything either
It doesn't have NFC so a little disappointing there but honestly not very many phones on this price range do have NFC at this point going into 2023
For the more basic use it's meant for it's still going to be at least good enough
The display is pretty much exactly the same as every other phone in this price range
It doesn't have super thin bezels, and although it looks nice overall, it's not really different from a generic entry-level phone

Ulefone Note 10

Strengths

The phone's performance is surprisingly good, especially considering its price of $100.
The display is pretty decent and suitable for indoor use.
The speaker is surprisingly good, producing decently loud sound with a bit of bass.
The fingerprint sensor and face unlock are both quick and convenient.
The phone's camera performance is decent, despite some focus issues.
The battery life seems to be sufficient, although not specifically mentioned in the review.
The phone's design is sleek and plasticky, but not too cheap-feeling.

Weaknesses

The display doesn't get bright enough for outdoor use.
The camera can struggle with focus, requiring multiple taps on the screen to adjust.
There are some slight stutters in performance when gaming, although they seem to disappear after turning off animations.
The rear-facing camera only has 8 megapixels and a 720p resolution.
The front camera also only has 8 megapixels and a 720p resolution.

Motorola Moto G Play (2023)

The Motorola Moto G Play (2023) is an unassuming entry-level smartphone that checks all the right boxes without excitingly exceeding them. With a solid battery life and decent camera capabilities, this phone gets the job done for those looking for a no-frills device. While its performance may not be particularly impressive, the Moto G Play's affordability, sleek design, and good build quality make it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers. This review will delve into the details of what makes the Moto G Play (2023) tick, or rather, trudge along without any major surprises.

Ulefone Note 10

The Ulefone Note 10 is a budget-friendly smartphone that packs a punch with its specs. For $100, you get a phone with two gigs of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 6.52-inch 720p display. The sc9863a CPU runs on Android 11 Go Edition, and the 5,500mAh battery provides decent power for the device. In terms of design, the Note 10 feels plasticky but not cheap in the hand. The TPU case that comes with it is a nice touch. The display looks good indoors, but brightness is an issue outdoors. The camera setup is decent, with an 8MP rear and front camera. However, autofocus can be slow at times. Performance-wise, the Note 10 surprised me with its snappiness, especially considering its price. Gaming performance was also better than expected, although some frame drops were noticed in demanding games. The speaker gets reasonably loud but suffers from single mono syndrome. The fingerprint sensor and face unlock features work well once you get used to them. The battery life is decent, but not exceptional. Overall, I'd say the Ulefone Note 10 is a solid budget device that delivers on its promise of performance for $100. While it has some minor flaws, such as a dim display and slow autofocus, it's hard to find fault with its overall value proposition. For anyone looking for an affordable smartphone without breaking the bank, the Ulefone Note 10 is definitely worth considering.
