Pros and Cons

MSI Crosshair 15

Strengths

Gaming performance was great, I mean yeah sure, not quite as good as some other 3070 laptops with a MUX switch or higher GPU power limits, but regardless you'll be running modern games at 1440p decent settings no problem on this hardware.
The 1440p screen was quite good in terms of color gamut and brightness was acceptable. Response time was alright, but the overdrive mode didn't seem to do anything.
Shipping it with decent RAM was a plus
You can still use the up arrow key to max out the fans and keyboard lighting adjustment works too.

Weaknesses

The laptop was surprisingly poor considering the 90Wh size of the battery
The fans could use some tuning. The laptop is more audible compared to a lot of others, and it's either too loud or too quiet.
The screen wobble and weird touchpad problem were notable issues
The ports weren't amazing, USB 2.0 in 2022 feels a bit rough

MSI Cyborg 15

Strengths

Great build quality
Decent gaming screen (same if not a bit awkward)
Performance that punches way above its weight and power draw
Good thermals (GPU at Max of 69°C, CPU at 61°C)
Long battery life (7 hours in regular use, 2 hours in gaming load test)
Value for money (available for $1000 or as low as $800 with a sale)

Weaknesses

No flagship laptop features
Power limitations of the i7 running at just 55 Watts
Awkward set of specs
No weather resistance
Color inaccurate screen (not suitable for color-critical work)
Not enough RTX performance for demanding users

MSI Crosshair 15

The MSI Crosshair 15 is a gaming laptop that boasts impressive specs, but its value proposition remains uncertain. With a 1440p screen, 12th gen processor, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, it should deliver silky-smooth performance in modern games. However, its battery life falls short of expectations, and the cooling system could be more refined. The price tag also seems steep compared to similar laptops on the market. Can this gaming laptop justify its cost with strong performance and a unique design?

MSI Cyborg 15

The MSI Cyborg 15 is a solid gaming laptop that punches above its weight in terms of performance. With a 12th gen i7 processor and RTX 4060 graphics, it delivers playable frame rates in demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Borderlands 3. Its 53.5Wh battery life may be limited, but it still manages to run for around 7 hours in regular use. Overall, the Cyborg 15 offers great value at a relatively affordable price point of $1000 or under.
