Pros and Cons

MSI Crosshair 15

Strengths

Gaming performance was great, I mean yeah sure, not quite as good as some other 3070 laptops with a MUX switch or higher GPU power limits, but regardless you'll be running modern games at 1440p decent settings no problem on this hardware.
The 1440p screen was quite good in terms of color gamut and brightness was acceptable. Response time was alright, but the overdrive mode didn't seem to do anything.
Shipping it with decent RAM was a plus
You can still use the up arrow key to max out the fans and keyboard lighting adjustment works too.

Weaknesses

The laptop was surprisingly poor considering the 90Wh size of the battery
The fans could use some tuning. The laptop is more audible compared to a lot of others, and it's either too loud or too quiet.
The screen wobble and weird touchpad problem were notable issues
The ports weren't amazing, USB 2.0 in 2022 feels a bit rough

MSI Thin 15

Strengths

The design is sleek and slim, fitting into a chassis that's smaller than most others in its class.
It has insane CPU performance for its size, making it a serious processing powerhouse.
The battery life is decent, with over 4.5 hours of continuous video playback and up to 7 hours of light usage.
The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, with solid transfer rates and good connectivity.
It's competitively priced at around R18,000-20,000 on the local market.

Weaknesses

The GPU performance could be better, especially in AAA gaming scenarios where it can get bottlenecked by the CPU.
The laptop can get quite hot, especially during intense CPU usage, with temperatures reaching up to 90°C.
The battery life is not ideal for heavy usage, and the laptop may need to be plugged in frequently.
It's a bit pricey compared to other similar laptops on the market, although it's still competitively priced overall.
The cooling system could be improved to handle more demanding tasks without overheating.
