Pros and Cons

MSI Raider GE76

Strengths

The Intel 12th generation nsi raider ge76 is an excellent gaming laptop.
Not everybody's being picky about this gen versus last gen maybe you got your last gaming laptop four years ago
The cooling on this, the display options on this, the awesome rgb keyboard that's very comfortable to type on, the core i7 and core i9 cpu options good ti graphics from nvidia on this it's just it's the complete package which is nice
The display options on this are great for gaming with QHD or 4K resolution performance levels.
The battery life is huge at 99.9 Wh and you get a mux switch to set it to switchable graphics or dedicated graphics.
Not everybody gets laptop this big but obviously that's not the goal of this laptop
It has good audio from two woofers and two main stereo speakers

Weaknesses

No specific cons listed for this device

Alienware 16X Aurora

Strengths

The laptop looks really good, it's definitely not quite up there with the Area 51 build quality but it is obviously about half the price
Good range of features
Performance was good, we got 150 watts on the GPU and the CPU performed very well
Battery life was strong, leading to snappy performance when you are on battery that feels very much like you're on mains
The laptop is capable of 100 Ws of power delivery, meaning you could charge the laptop with a USBC charger, a dock, or a power delivery monitor

Weaknesses

The biggest gripes were the plastic deck, the touchpad and that keyboard. This didn't feel like an Alienware, it felt like a G series.
£15,000 is a lot of money and I would have liked to seen a proper Alienware keyboard on here. This one just felt cheap
The laptop maxes out at only a 5070 and an 8 GB card in 2025 is a bit of a shame, every laptop really, if possible, should go to that 5070 Ti for that 12 GB of RAM
Only the right USBC allows for power delivery
The GPU performance sucked when using power delivery, I'm not sure what is going on with the engineers over at Dell
