Pros and Cons

MSI WS66

Strengths

Honestly with the features on offer here I could see myself picking this to replace my current older personal laptop
The build quality is decent, the screen in my unit was good in terms of bleed, brightness and colour gamut
I'd use it for content creation on the go, no problems, but the 144Hz option does also let you to kick back with some games at the end of the day if that's your preference
The battery life was good, and internals were also fair with 2 M.2 slots, 2 memory slots and WiFi chip
You've got the option of Xeon processor and ECC memory too, should you require those
The I/O was pretty good, all USB 3.2 Gen2, no older Gen1 here, and while Thunderbolt, two Type-C ports and 2.5 gigabit ethernet is nice
The performance seemed pretty decent, and higher temps are a trade off with good performance in a thinner chassis
It's worth buying for content creation on the go

Weaknesses

The build quality could be better
The screen may not be suitable for all users due to bleed, brightness and colour gamut issues
There are no USB Type-A ports (except one) which can be limiting in some situations
The front facing speakers were not great
MSI are using slightly slower DDR4-2666 memory despite the Intel 10th gen supporting 2933
Internals can run hot under heavy workloads
There's no option for OLED panel which is available on some other laptops
The single USB Type-A port may be limiting in certain situations

Acer TravelMate Spin P4

Strengths

The Acer TravelMate Spin P4 is one of the coolest and quietest active cool computers on this channel, with great temperatures and fan noise.
The laptop has a nice garage pen feature that allows you to store your stylus when not in use.
It has good palm rejection when in tablet mode, making it easy to take notes or draw.
The port selection is excellent, including an RJ45 Ethernet port that's still useful in many businesses.
The battery is held by a connector and the CMOS battery lives right underneath the M.2 SSD, making it easy to reset if needed.
The laptop has good pen support, making it suitable for creative tasks.

Weaknesses

The display is not very bright, struggling with reflections when used outdoors.
The speakers are positioned in such a way that they fire audio away from the user when in tablet mode, making it hard to hear the sound.
There's no option for a brighter display beyond 300 nits, which could be improved.
The placement of the speakers is not ideal and could be better designed.
The laptop could benefit from more brightness options on the display, especially considering its glossy screen.
The overall design of the laptop is not particularly innovative or exciting.
