Pros and Cons

Razer Blade Stealth

Strengths

The build quality is excellent and complemented well by the RGB keyboard and trackpad.
The display is good with a nice high resolution and it's not as hamstrung by bezels as previous models.
The improved performance from Intel Core i7 8550 is great to see.
Razer provides top-end hardware for the price, making it fairly priced compared to other premium laptops.

Weaknesses

The battery life is not particularly impressive and gets soundly beaten by both the HP Spectre x-360 and the Dell XPS 13.
There's a concern with occasional QA issues Razer has had with this unit over the past few years.
The laptop can be expensive, with a price tag of $1,500 US.
The battery life is actually worse than some other similar laptops, like the outstanding Dell XPS 13.

MSI GS76 Stealth

Strengths

The laptop feels fairly solid all things considered, with the exception of the lid which does wobble a bit.
Often a lighter laptop means less materials and a weaker machine, but the GS76 feels fairly solid all things considered.
The option to disable optimus for a speed boost in games is a great feature.
The I/O selection is great, with no older USB 3.2 Gen1 at all.
The SD card slot performs very nicely, basically maxing out my V90 card.
DaVinci Resolve performance is right alongside 2080 Max-Q laptops.
The keyboard and sound work fine under Linux support.
The touchpad works fine under Linux support.
