The Realme 8 5G is a budget-friendly smartphone that stands out in the market with its affordable price tag and 5G connectivity feature. As a successor to the Realme 7 5G, this device cuts back on some specs in exchange for a lower price, making it an attractive option for those who want a reliable 5G phone without breaking the bank. The phone's design is quite similar to other recent Realme models, with a glossy curved rear panel that looks like glass and a thin plastic frame. However, one notable omission is the lack of water sealing on the device's ports, although this was also absent in its predecessor. Under the hood, the Realme 8 5G packs a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080p resolution and a fast 90Hz refresh rate. While the screen performs decently, it lags behind its predecessor's 120Hz refresh rate and lacks Gorilla Glass protection. The phone also features a headphone jack, single speaker, and side-mounted fingerprint reader. Performance-wise, the Realme 8 5G holds its own against competitors like the OnePlus Nord N10, although it does fall behind last year's model in graphics tests. Battery life is impressive, with a great endurance rating of 118 hours, but charging speed is relatively slow at 18W. The camera setup includes three lenses: a 48MP quad Bayer main cam, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP monochrome sensor for depth sensing. Image quality is decent, with accurate colors and good dynamic range, although the detail level could be better. The front-facing camera takes great selfies with rich detail and good sharpness. Overall, the Realme 8 5G offers a compelling package of 5G connectivity, decent performance, and good battery life at an affordable price. While it may not be the best option in its class, it's a solid choice for those who prioritize 5G capabilities without breaking the bank.

The Ulefone Armor 27 Pro also features a toolbox pre-installed app that includes various measurement tools, such as a protractor, height meter, compass, and plumb tool. The phone's battery is 10,600mAh, which provides long battery life of around 2-3 days with constant use. Other notable specifications include an IPS LCD display, Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset, 12GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. The phone also features IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance, making it suitable for outdoor activities and harsh environments. After using the Ulefone Armor 27 Pro for two weeks, I can confidently say that it's one of my favorite rugged smartphones from Ulefone. Its slim design, impressive camera features, and long battery life make it an excellent choice for those who need a reliable phone for outdoor adventures or everyday use.
