Pros and Cons

Samsung Galaxy A23 4G

Strengths

This phone packs in a fairly chunky 5,000 milliamp battery inside that's plenty to power through more than a day's use probably on a single charge under normal circumstances.
The charging speeds have increased like i said 25 watt fast charging which isn't necessarily fast by today's standards but faster than the 15 watt max speeds of last year so a difference nonetheless
This phone actually gets a solid array of internals that definitely makes this phone worth it powering this device now is the qualcomm snapdragon 680 4G chipset the option of four, six or eight gigs of ram and like i mentioned earlier 64 or 128 gigs of storage with the option to throw in an sd card
The selfie pictures are fairly detailed they're well balanced they're colorful without looking overdone certainly a lot better than what i was initially expecting.
Being a budget device on the bright side these couple of sample shots i took just to quickly test everything out actually looks surprisingly good.
Slightly refreshed design with a larger display as well
Pretty good option for sub $250.
Slightly improved 50 megapixel shooter the wide angle drops down to a 5 megapixel lens and the macro and depth sensors are the same 2 megapixels that we've had for years.

Samsung Galaxy A23 4G

The Samsung Galaxy A23 4G is a budget-friendly smartphone that packs a punch with its decent specs and features. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, available in four, six, or eight gigs of RAM, and 64 or 128 gigs of storage with an option to expand via microSD card. The phone's display is a notable upgrade, featuring a larger screen size than its predecessor. However, it's worth mentioning that the A23 4G uses a LCD panel instead of an AMOLED one, which may be a drawback for some users. In terms of performance, the device feels fast and responsive, thanks to the capable Snapdragon 680 chipset. The phone also ships with Android 12 and One UI 4.1, making it a solid option for those looking for a budget-friendly Android experience. Battery life is another highlight of the A23 4G, featuring a substantial 5,000mAh battery that should easily last through a day of heavy use. Fast charging speeds have also been improved to 25W, which is faster than its predecessor. The camera setup on the A23 4G has received some criticism, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens. However, sample shots taken during testing revealed surprisingly good results, especially in daylight conditions. Night mode and manual controls are also available, making it a decent option for casual photographers. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A23 4G is a solid choice for those looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with decent specs and features. While it may not be perfect – particularly with its LCD display and limited camera capabilities – it's an attractive option for those on a tight budget.

Ulefone Power Armor 16S

The Ulefone Power Armor 16S is a rugged smartphone that delivers impressive performance without sacrificing its durability. Its 5.93-inch HD Plus display may not be the sharpest on the market, but it's more than sufficient for everyday use and can even handle outdoor activities under direct sunlight. Built to withstand harsh environments, the phone meets IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H standards, making it dustproof, waterproof up to 1.5M for 30 minutes, and shockproof. However, this rugged protection comes at a cost - the device is bulky (18.3mm thick) and weighs 405g. Under the hood, the Power Armor 16S packs an Unisoc T616 processor clocking at 2GHz, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While this setup handles day-to-day tasks smoothly, gaming performance is decent but not exceptional, and photography capabilities are limited due to the mediocre camera performance. One standout feature is the massive 9600mAh battery, which offers up to several days of use on a single charge. The phone also supports 18W fast charging. Additionally, it features a super loud 122dB speaker that's perfect for calls or media playback in noisy environments. The Power Armor 16S runs on Android 13 and offers a clean and smooth user experience. While it may not be the most powerful device on the market, its rugged build, decent performance, and massive battery make it an excellent option for those who need a tough and reliable phone that can handle the elements.
