Pros and Cons

Samsung Galaxy Book

Strengths

The performance of The X Elite is impressive, outperforming current Intel Ultra 755 H in many tasks.
These laptops run so much cooler and quieter than their Intel and AMD rivals, making for a nice quality of life improvement.
A lot of big name apps have been optimized to run well on this laptop, offering good performance.
Samsung ecosystem features like quick share screen sharing and auto switch for Galaxy Buds add value to the device.
The 14in version is thinner, lighter, and cheaper than the 16in version, making it a great option for those who prefer smaller screens.

Weaknesses

The X Elite falls down in graphics performance compared to Intel and AMD's integrated GPUs, particularly AMD which is quite faster.
The larger screen size can be a distraction from productivity tasks.
The trackpad on the larger model is not ideal for those who prefer smaller screens.
The higher price point of around £15500 for the 16in version may be off-putting to some buyers.
There are still some apps that haven't been optimized to run well on this laptop, which can lead to subpar performance and battery life.

Acer Swift X

Strengths

The display is fantastic, color accurate, and large with a good color gamut.
Battery life is good, especially for an i7-13700H processor, with around 9 hours of productivity, 7.5 hours of streaming video playback, and close to 5 hours for Photoshop work.
The keyboard is quiet, has a medium key press, full-size shift keys on both sides, and a fingerprint reader under the power button.
Performance benchmarks show good results in geekbench single core, cinebench R23, and DaVinci Resolve.

Weaknesses

Multi-core performance drops down the charts quite a bit, especially in Photoshop benchmark compared to other laptops with similar spec outs.
16GB of RAM may cause bottlenecks in After Effects due to its preference for more RAM.
6K video editing is not recommended due to high drop frames and export time (26 minutes and 49 seconds).
Export time for 6K raw footage is relatively long compared to other laptops.
