Pros and Cons

MSI Vector 16 HX

Strengths

MSI took those high-end specs and put them in a laptop that skips out on some of the things that add to the cost of these laptops. All of the performance with none of the fluff.
The gaming experience overall was fantastic. It's not an OLED panel, so the blacks aren't the blackest, and the brightness isn't maximum as you can get out of some screens. However, who's going to be gaming in direct sunlight?
Overall, I actually do think MSI succeeded with dropping the price for a top-spec gaming device and yet still making it fun and exciting to use.
The keyboard itself is really decent to type on. I really enjoy a chiclet-style keyboard like this one.

Weaknesses

It's very loud when you're gaming, especially when using the laptop standard, which makes it difficult to sneak in a gaming session at work
The laptop gets hot during gaming sessions, although it doesn't get too hot to handle.
The ports come out the back of the laptop, but this may cause cable clutter and take away from the overall aesthetic of the device
It weighs 2.7 kilograms, which is a bit heavy for some users

Acer Aspire Vero 16

Strengths

The laptop is a powerhouse with an Intel Core Meteor Lake processor, making it suitable for everyday office work and light creative applications.
It has a sustainable design with a zero carbon footprint, utilizing recyclable materials throughout its construction and packaging.
The laptop's display boasts a resolution of 2560 x 600 and a 60 Hz refresh rate, offering excellent color accuracy and a peak brightness of 450 nits.
It includes a range of connectivity options such as USB ports, HDMI, and a headset socket, making it easy to connect external devices.
The laptop integrates AI functionality into its webcam and microphone, allowing for features like background blur and noise cancellation.
It offers over 10 hours of use on a single charge via USBC Thunderbolt port, making it suitable for extended work days.

Weaknesses

The laptop's performance might not meet the needs of every consumer, especially high-end power users, due to its Intel Core Meteor Lake processor.
It lacks an Ethernet port, which can be remedied with a Thunderbolt or USB adapter.
The webcam and microphone quality may not be as good as expected, with the camera only capable of 1440p at 30 frames per second.
Battery life decreases with intensive uses, which may affect its overall performance.
It may not be the best choice for users requiring super high-end performance for the latest creative applications.
The laptop's design is unconventional, with the 'R' and 'E' keys swapped to symbolize reduce, reuse, recycle, which may take some getting used to.
