Pros and Cons

Samsung Galaxy Book4

Strengths

The keyboard is okay, I could get used to it in an hour or so
It got over 11 hours of battery life in our endurance test which is incredible especially given this has an OLED display
The speakers are fine, mids seem pretty decent
The webcam is good, looks nice and clear and crisp
We have a fingerprint reader up here on the right hand side which is on top of the power button best spot to have it
It's got a vapor chamber which is how we were able to extract those 80 Watts out of the 40/50 processor
The battery life is incredible
The RTX 4050 is a powerful GPU, great for gaming and content creation

Weaknesses

The price is $2400 with 16 GB of RAM 1 TB SSD and RTX 4050 which is outrageous and doesn't match the value
It's got like a couple medium compromises like the keyboard's okay trackpads kind of weird
The Wi-Fi card is soldered down so if you want Wi-Fi 7 I don't know just don't buy this laptop
The price makes no sense compared to other laptops with similar specs and features
You could get a Zephyris G16 for $22,000 that has the same amount of RAM and storage but an RTX 470
It's available with up to a 470 and that config is $3,000 which is still overpriced
The price of this laptop is a sin, it's got like a couple medium compromises
It doesn't have facial recognition despite its high price tag

AORUS 17

Strengths

The keyboard and touchpad are great, with the typing experience being comfortable.
The port selection is good, with plenty of options for connectivity.
A cooling pad can significantly improve thermals without resorting to loud fan noise.
The camera is in a better spot now, making it more useful.
It's possible to play games at high refresh rates (up to 360Hz) on the 1080p screen.

Linux support was tested with Ubuntu 22.04, with most hardware working out of the box.

Weaknesses

The RTX 3070 Ti and 3080 Ti configurations barely performed differently in games.
There's no MUX switch for improved performance in eSports titles.
No overdrive mode on the screen results in a slower response time compared to other laptops.
Poor battery life compared to other laptops makes it less portable.
Speakers are not good, with most people preferring external audio.
The keyboard secondary functions don't get lit up, making them harder to use in the dark.
